Mason Douglas performs for film cast party In attendance: Shia LaBeouf, Tom Hardy, and more

Last Saturday night, February 26, 2011, Nashville country music artist, MASON DOUGLAS provided yet another stellar performance at The Alamo in Newnan, GA.  This time however, it was for a private cast party for the film “The Wettest County in the World.” Those in attendance included one of the film’s stars SHIA LABEOUF who loved Mason’s music and told him, “That’s some good s*&#!” Other attendees include: TOM HARDY (Inception); NICK CAVE (Nick Cave and The Bad Seeds); the film’s Director JOHN HILLCOAT; Atlanta jazz blues singer, TONI BYRD; and many more.

MASON DOUGLAS has been receiving quite a bit of attention lately including his recent feature in the Country Music Association’s CMA Close-Up Magazine’s Debut Spotlight and numerous kudos for his new album, MY WILD HEART, released on L.A. based, Rural Rhythm Country.  The first single release has also received attention including ROBERT K OERMAN (Music Row) saying, “I don’t know when I have heard a more accomplished debut single. And he wrote it all by himself. Give that man a DisCovery Award. The CD is titled MY WILD HEART, and you can bet I’ll be playing the rest of it.”

MY WILD HEART was recently featured on “20 New Tunes for Adventurous Music Fans” and includes 11 original songs by Mason Douglas. The album is available to radio via Play MPE, DMDS and Airplay Direct and available for purchase via iTunes, and many more major outlets.

“The Wettest County in the World,” a crime-drama centered on a family of Depression-era bootleggers in the American South, is due in theaters next year.
