New music video “Cold & Withered Heart” by Cumberland River

The Alternate Root hosted this morning’s world premiere of the new music video, “Cold & Withered Heart” by CUMBERLAND RIVER.  The video was filmed on location in the band’s hometown of Harlan, Kentucky in the Jones Creek area.  It is a lighthearted twist on their original song written by Cumberland River band member, Jamie Dean (lead vocals and banjo) who is joined by band members: Dustin Middleton (mandolin and harmony vocals), Andy Buckner (guitar and harmony vocals); Joey Jones (bass); and Jamie Stewart (Dobro.) The video was directed and filmed by Anthony Ladd, Kneelindesign.

“Cold & Withered Heart” is the first radio single release off the band’s new album, THE LIFE WE LIVE, releasing next Tuesday.  WNCW will feature the album tomorrow, Saturday, July 23rd on the “Goin’ Across The Mountain” radio show.

Cumberland River fans will also get to see the video tonight during the band’s CD Release Party taking place at The Harlan Center located at 201 S. Main Street, Harlan, KY 40831.  Tickets are $5 and can be purchased at the door. Blue Edition, a band whose members all attend ETSU, will open the show.
