Newton & Thomas to Perform at the 1st Annual 18 Fore Military Families Golf Tournament Sept 9

GOLFMark Newton & Steve Thomas will perform at the 1st Annual 18 Fore Military Families at the Governors Club located at 9681 Concord Rd., Brentwood, TN on Monday, September 9, 2013 at 9:45 a.m. The inaugural event will not only include the 18-hole golf tournament, but also lunch, cocktails, silent auction, live auction, ceremony, buffet dinner and awards. This Wounded Warriors Fundraiser is organized by Nashville based Lend Lease (US) Community Fund in conjunction with Birdies for the Brave® a military outreach initiative proudly supported by the PGA Tour. The 1st Annual 18 Fore Military Families Golf Tournament is expecting over 100 golfers from the Nashville business community, several of Lend Lease (US) Community Fund military housing and lodging business partners, and a number of honorary Wound Warriors and active-duty soldiers from Fort Campbell and the 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault) to come out and support this most worthwhile cause. All funds raised will be used to directly support programs that benefit Service Members and their families including: Birdies for the Brave Patriots’ Outpost, Operation Shower, Not Alone, BlueStar Scholarships, Military Home Front, and Wounded Warrior Project. Millions of dollars have been raised across these groups and organizations in support of military families across the country.

Newton & Thomas will return for another performance at Kimbro’s Café in Franklin, TN this Thursday, August 29, 2013 where they will perform songs from their album REBORN recently released on Pinecastle Records.
