stepupposter_FINALrev-smallVero Beach, Florida – The American Security Council Foundation (ASCF) announces a benefit concert featuring The Band Perry on Saturday, December 6, 2014 at Historic Dodgertown Holman Stadium in Vero Beach, Fla. The lineup also includes Country music newcomer JT Hodges and the bluegrass group of Newton & Thomas. The festival gates will open at 3:00 PM with various activities and exhibits. According to ASCF Director of Operations Gary James, “The festival will raise funds for The US NAVY UDT/SEAL Trident House and the ASCF Scholarship Fund that provides scholarships to the children of Active Duty Military, Veterans, Law Enforcement and First Responders.”

Since releasing their self-titled debut album in 2010, The Band Perry has skyrocketed into the mainstream. Fronted by Kimberly Perry and rounded out by her younger brothers Reid and Neil, the band has notched a string of hit singles from their platinum debut and their gold sophomore release, PIONEER, including: the quintuple-platinum No. 1 “If I Die Young,” the platinum “You Lie,” the No. 1 “All Your Life,” the platinum No. 1 “Better Dig Two,” and the gold No. 1 “DONE.” They’ve received major accolades including the 2014 ACM Award for “Vocal Group of the Year” and CMT’s 2014 “Group Video of the Year” award which has cemented the sibling trio as one of the hottest acts in recent history.

JT Hodges has spent the last year embracing his newfound growth in making music. After several months in the studio, he is most proud of never losing the honesty of himself or the music and where it has taken him. The sophomore album will undoubtedly be his best music to date, offering a more reflective take on the music and a different twist in the lyrics. It includes a diversity that suggests JT Hodges is creating a whole new kind of Country Pop Rock music.

Newton & Thomas are certainly no strangers to the music community. Both have achieved great success throughout their careers with a Grammy nomination, a CMA nomination and multiple IBMA awards. The duo received significant chart success with their debut album, REBORN on Pinecastle Records. The project includes numerous Top 5 tracks like their first radio single release “Old McDonald Sold The Farm.” The timely and popular tune reached #1 four times on Bluegrass Today’s Top 20 Song Chart.
