Trinity River Band is celebrating their hit Heartstrings album that has earned sterling media reviews and global airplay since its release. Five impressive tracks have appeared on the Bluegrass Today Top 20 chart with the most recent “How Blue,” with lead vocals by two-time IBMA Momentum Vocalist Nominee Sarah Harris, and “Rusty Old American Dream” with sibling Joshua Harris singing the lead.
The Bluegrass Situation hosted the song premiere of the Reba cover “How Blue” back in May saying, “The band got groovy when recording ‘How Blue,’ anchored by the bluesy guitar stylings of Mike Harris. The sibling trio of Sarah, Joshua, and Brianna draw you in, but it’s the sassy lead vocals from Sarah which steal the show.”
“How Blue” is currently appearing on the Sirius XM Bluegrass Junction Most Played Tracks chart, Bluegrass Today’s Weekly and Monthly Top 20 Songs charts and has spent the last five weeks in the top 5 on the Roots Music Report’s Top 50 Bluegrass Songs chart.
“Rusty Old American Dream,’ written by David Wilcox, just made its debut on the Bluegrass Today Weekly Top 20. In a recent album review, Digital Rodeo calls the song “a rousing tune with classic bluegrass pickin’ and impeccable vocal harmony” with Bluegrass Today saying Joshua Harris “also provides some good lead singing” and “Mike’s guitar playing shines on this cut as well.”
The band has been on a busy tour performing across the country making lifelong memories along the way. They recently ran into country star Billy Dean and gave an impromptu performance of their version of his hit song “Only Here For A Little While” that also appears on Trinity River Band’s Heartstrings album. With numerous other album reviews, radio appearances such asNashville’s 650 AM WSM Radio, a podcast feature on The Bluegrass Byway, and more, the group has certainly broadened their reach and continues to grow their loyal fans base.
