Dave Adkins has released another red hot second single, “Sold,” from his #1 Billboard Top Bluegrass Album. The impressive cover of the John Michael Montgomery 90’s hit, is currently #1 on the Bluegrass Today Top 20 Song Chart. “Adkins delivers [the song] with gusto with the banjo his constant companion,” said Lonesome Road Review.
This is the second single release from his self-titled album on Mountain Fever Records to top the charts. The first, “Change Her Mind” written by Adkins, was #1 on Sirius XM Bluegrass Junction’s Most Played Tracks in May and hit #1 three times on the Bluegrass Today Top 20 Weekly Song Chart since the album was released late February. The song jumped to #9 this month on the Bluegrass Unlimited Magazine’s Top 30 Song Chart with the album also at #9 on the Top 15 Album Chart.
The hits just keep coming from the Dave Adkins album. The lightning fast trucker song, “Turn and Burn” co-written by Dave Adkins, David Morris and Dawn Kenny, was the 2nd Place Award winner in the prestigious Hazel Dickens Songwriting Contest. The country flavored “Fool-o-sophy” written by Kentucky Music Hall of Famer Larry Cordle and Country superstar Chris Stapleton, has appeared on a fan voted Country music chart.
Parcbench Magazine exclaims, “Dave Adkins’ voice offers something real, something trustworthy and something thrilling to hold on to. It’s an exciting ride—this self-titled new album from Dave Adkins.
