A Message from Shannon Slaughter

“Plowin’ It To The Fence has been one of my favorite projects to record and release, primarily because it showcases the band personnel throughout the entire album. With the exception of one track, everything was cut at Eastwood Studios in Cana, Virginia, with virtually the same tracking band – myself on guitar, Ron Inscore on mandolin, Trevor Watson on banjo, and Cliff Bailey on acoustic bass. Some iteration of the band also sang on every song except one. This project really highlights the talents of all of those guys.”

“The majority of the songs are written or co-written by me, nine in total, along with three original songs from writers I highly respect and three covers. I’m so proud to be part of a band of guys who genuinely enjoy making music and singing together, and who have done so for many years. I’m blessed beyond belief that these guys are not only great artists, but great friends. I hope you enjoy Plowin’ It To The Fence!”

Plowin’ It To The Fence was produced by Wes Easter and Shannon Slaughter. Rhythm tracks and vocals were recorded at Eastwood Studio in Cana, Virginia, engineered by Wes Easter. The track “I’d Be A Cowboy” was recorded at The Colemine in Nashville, Tennessee. The album was mixed and mastered by Wes and Derek Easter at Eastwood Studio.
