Crandall Creek Kicks Off 10th Anniversary Year with New Lead Vocalist and New Single, “Cold Morning Rain”
Moundsville, WV (January 16, 2026) – Bluegrass band Crandall Creek kicks off its 10th anniversary year with exciting news, announcing the addition of new lead vocalist Megan Paullet and the release of a brand-new single, “Cold Morning Rain.”
“Megan has an amazing voice for all genres and fits beautifully in the bluegrass vein,” said band leader Jerry Andrews. “She’s also a gifted multi-instrumentalist with a strong work ethic and a great musical sensibility. We’re all looking forward to this new chapter with her.”
Megan Paullet steps into the role following the departure of former lead vocalist Carly Greer, who is relocating to Nashville, Tennessee, to pursue a solo career.
Crandall Creek enters 2026 celebrating ten years of making music together, marked by recent national recognition and a string of consistently charting singles. Energized by the start of their anniversary year and the addition of Megan, Crandall Creek wasted no time heading into the studio to record “Cold Morning Rain,” written by Andrews and available to radio today.
The track features Megan on lead and harmony vocals, alongside band members Dustin Terpenning (winner of the 2025 Josie Music Award for Musician of the Year – Banjo), Ray Bruckman on fiddle, guitar, and mandolin, Sav Nelson on bass, and Jerry Andrews on guitar.
Known for his thoughtful songwriting and steady musicianship, Andrews has been the creative driving force behind Crandall Creek since its inception, shaping a catalog rooted in traditional bluegrass while embracing modern, deeply personal lyrical themes.
Reflecting on the song’s creation, Andrews shared, “I wrote most of this song in 2020, on the day I began my first chemotherapy treatment. It was a cold, rainy morning, and because of COVID, I had to go alone. The fog was thick, the rain was falling, and I remember thinking how lonely and overwhelming it felt to face something like that, especially during a cold morning rain.”
Crandall Creek has earned growing national recognition over the past several years through consistently charting singles from their most recent albums, Color Me Blue and Ain’t Love Somethin’.
“Cold Morning Rain” is available now at all streaming outlets and to radio at Airplay Direct.
