Circa Blue Releases New Christmas Single to Radio

Circa Blue is proud to announce they have released a new Christmas single titled “Bells of Home” to radio. The song is the title track for their upcoming album releasing later this month. “Bells of Home” was written by David Morris and Dawn Kenny and is now available at AirPlay Direct or by request.

“Every year at National Media Services, we select one prestigious customer to record a Christmas album. For our tenth anniversary it was an easy choice to select Circa Blue. The band came in during the sweltering Summer months and made it Christmas in July in the Upper Room Studios at National Media Services. We couldn’t be happier with the result,” said the company.

Co-writer David Morris explains more about the original song, “At its heart, ‘Bells of Home’ gets at something most of us have felt at some point: Being homesick at the holidays. Once we identified a soldier as our narrator, the possibilities for images and contrasts came pouring out. The hardest part was finding a battle that fit our story line – a fierce firefight, in the snow, on Christmas Eve. We wanted historical accuracy because we knew some listeners would check us. We found what we needed in Belgium in 1944. With the factual frame and a bit of imagination, Dawn and I pulled Bells of Home together quickly. It’s a tribute to families, to traditions and to those who gave up their holidays – some temporarily, some permanently – simply because, as the song notes, “some things are worth fighting for.”

Danny Paisley, this year’s IBMA Male Vocalist of the Year says, “Bells of Home is a song of a soldiers yearning for home at Christmas time. Circa Blue and Steve Harris’ wonderful singing make this a Christmas classic.”

Five Chart Songs from Trinity River Band’s Heartstrings Album

Five impressive tracks have appeared on the Bluegrass Today Top 20 chart with the most recent “How Blue,” with lead vocals by two-time IBMA Momentum Vocalist Nominee Sarah Harris, and “Rusty Old American Dream” with sibling Joshua Harris singing the lead.

The Bluegrass Situation hosted the song premiere of the Reba cover “How Blue” back in May saying, “The band got groovy when recording ‘How Blue,’ anchored by the bluesy guitar stylings of Mike Harris. The sibling trio of Sarah, Joshua, and Brianna draw you in, but it’s the sassy lead vocals from Sarah which steal the show.”

How Blue” is currently appearing on the Sirius XM Bluegrass Junction Most Played Tracks chart, Bluegrass Today’s Weekly and Monthly Top 20 Songs charts and has spent the last five weeks in the top 5 on the Roots Music Report’s Top 50 Bluegrass Songs chart.

Rusty Old American Dream,’ written by David Wilcox, just made its debut on the Bluegrass Today Weekly Top 20. In a recent album review, Digital Rodeo calls the song “a rousing tune with classic bluegrass pickin’ and impeccable vocal harmony” with Bluegrass Today saying Joshua Harris “also provides some good lead singing” and “Mike’s guitar playing shines on this cut as well.”

Trinity River Band Releases New Christmas Album – “On A Morning Like This”

Just in time for the holiday season, Trinity River Band has released a new Christmas album, On A Morning Like This. Parents Mike and Lisa Harris, along with their three children Sarah, Joshua, and Brianna, certainly shine on the album – taking turns on lead vocals and contributing their instrumental talents on all tracks.

The album features eight classic Christmas songs, plus two originals with the exquisite vocal talents of Sarah Harris. The title track, written by Lisa, and the original “This Christmas” written by Sarah, could certainly both become holiday classics.

National Media Services in Front Royal, Virginia invited Trinity River Band to record On A Morning Like This as the company’s annual Christmas album. “The new album certainly highlights National Media Services’ ability to put forth outstanding projects from start to finish, all in house. We were delighted to be a part of this project and humbled that they chose us for this venture,” said Sarah. “A special thank you to Will Shenk for his incredible patience while working so hard on this album, and making it sound so wonderful!”

The album was launched during the recent International Bluegrass Music Association’s (IBMA) annual World of Bluegrass event in Raleigh, North Carolina. During the week, Sarah Harris was honored with her second consecutive nomination for an IBMA Momentum Award in the Vocalist category.

Music Event to Be Held at Willie’s Duck Diner in West Monroe, LA

Trinity River Band will headline the first Willie’s Duck Jam 2014 on September 22. This special outdoor concert kicks off at 6:30pm at Willie’s Duck Diner, located at 125 Constitution Dr., West Monroe, LA. Tickets are $5 and can be purchased at the gate. The event is being produced by Bucky Newell who is partners with Willie Robertson in Willie’s Duck Diner. Bucky’s 50’s-70’s rock band, the Reactors, will open the concert. Willie Robertson, Executive Producer of Duck Dynasty, will be joining both bands on stage during this highly anticipated live concert event.

Trinity River Band Heads to Missouri to Celebrate New Album

Trinity River Band will kick off the Missouri leg of their busy 2014 tour this Wednesday, May 14 at 3:00 pm on the popular K Kountry95 Radio’s “Redbone Show” (KAMS 95.1) reaching a large audience in the areas of Thayer, MO, Mammoth Springs, AR, plus streaming online for listeners worldwide.

On Friday, May 16, the band will perform a concert at the Winona Assembly of God in Winona, MO at 7:00 pm; Saturday-Sunday, May 17-18 at the Arcadia Valley Mountain Music Festival at the Iron County Courthouse Square on Main Street in Ironton, MO; and Sunday, May 18 at the First Baptist Church of Ellington, MO.
