Trinity River Band’s popular new bluegrass album, Things I Do For Dreams, is now available for purchase at major retail outlets including  iTunes, Amazon, GooglePlay, and more. The band released the physical album to their fans earlier this month on their website and at their label’s site, Orange Blossom Records.

As announced last week, Trinity River Band are candidates for nomination on the second of three ballots for the 2016 International Bluegrass Music Association (IBMA) Awards. Official nominees will be announced in August.  Trinity River Band made an impressive appearance in the following categories: Vocal Group of the Year; Song of the Year for “How Blue” written by John Moffait; Album of the Year for their previous album Heartstrings, Orange Blossom Records; Gospel Recorded Event of the Year for “Give God the Power” written by Brink Brinkman; Emerging Artist of the Year; Recorded Event of the Year for “Fences” with special guest Marty Raybon written by Brink Brinkman and Dale Pyatt; and a Female Vocalist of the Year nod for Sarah Harris.

New Music Friday: Once Upon A Time album by Circa Blue

The band has released an official music video for the track, “Rain and Snow” that can be viewed on Youtube and below. The video was filmed by Seven Bends Media on location in Virginia and West Virginia.

Just last month, the album was released to radio stations at AirPlay Direct and immediately climbed to #2 on the service’s Top 50 APD Bluegrass Folk Albums chart. Stations may also request a private digital download from the label.

Circa Blue will host the inaugural Circa Blue Fest from May 6-8, 2016. The three-day bluegrass festival will feature: Blue Highway, Trinity River Band, Jim Hurst, Circa Blue, Lonesome Highway and more! Orange Blossom Records Signs Circa Blue – New Music Video Released

circ blueOrange Blossom Records is proud to announce they have signed CIRCA BLUE to the label and will release the band’s new album, Once Upon A Time, in January.

To give fans a preview of the upcoming album, the band has released a new music video for the track, “Rain and Snow.” The video was filmed by Seven Bends Media on location in Virginia and West Virginia. It sets forth the torrid tale of love un-requited, and the compelling story is borne out through a combination of acting and the band’s musical arrangement.

Once Upon A Time features 10 songs that include several co-writes with Steve Harris and songwriters David Morris and Dawn Kenney, an Award-Winning song by Brink Brinkman, a Dawn Kenney original, a collaborative effort between Canadian Star Matt Naveau, David Morris and Steve Harris, public domain standards, and a Juice Newton cover thrown in for good measure. The title cut “Once Upon A Time” was written by Steve Harris and Malia Furtado.

New Radio Single – “Sundown” by Steve Harris

Steve reminisced about the song saying, “Sundown’ is a Mosie Lister tune that my dad played in our home when I was a young lad. The Chuck Wagon Gang had a vinyl recording of it out at the time, and he would play it on our Sears and Roebuck floor model stereo, all-the-while belting out a heartfelt (woefully out-of-tune) accompaniment.”

Orange Blossom Records Signs Steve Harris

Music Event to Be Held at Willie’s Duck Diner in West Monroe, LA

Trinity River Band will headline the first Willie’s Duck Jam 2014 on September 22. This special outdoor concert kicks off at 6:30pm at Willie’s Duck Diner, located at 125 Constitution Dr., West Monroe, LA. Tickets are $5 and can be purchased at the gate. The event is being produced by Bucky Newell who is partners with Willie Robertson in Willie’s Duck Diner. Bucky’s 50’s-70’s rock band, the Reactors, will open the concert. Willie Robertson, Executive Producer of Duck Dynasty, will be joining both bands on stage during this highly anticipated live concert event.

After wowing crowds during recent performances at Willie’s Duck Diner and Duck Commander, the band was immediately invited back, and the idea for Willie’s Duck Jam 2014 was born.

“Better Than Blue,” the title track of the group’s current Orange Blossom Records’ album, was written by Larry Cordle & Lisa Shaffer. The song appeared five weeks on the Bluegrass Today Top 20 Weekly Song Chart – peaking at #4. “Trinity River has an incredibly close and beautiful family harmony. Miss Sarah Harris is a fantastically gifted and emotional singer,” said Cordle.
