Donna Hughes heads to New York City with #1 Album

Multi-award winning songwriter, vocalist, and multi-instrumentalist, Donna Hughes heads to New York City this weekend with the #1 album on SiriusXM Bluegrass Junction’s Top 40 Most Played Albums with her Rounder Records release, “Hellos, Goodbyes, and Butterflies.”  Her original song, “Nothing Easy” appears in the Top 40 Most Played Songs.

Donna will perform at The Living Room, located at 154 Ludlow St., NYC, tomorrow, Friday, September 16 at 6:00 pm.  On Saturday, Sept 17th, her band joins her for their performance at the inaugural Bluegrass in the Park studio series at Madison Square Park located Fifth & Madison Avenues.

#1 Song for Blue Moon Rising

BLUE MOON RISING’s first single, “Time To Be Movin’ On,” is the #1 Song on the Sirius-XM Bluegrass Junction’s Top 40 Most-Played Tracks, with the album, STRANGE NEW WORLD appearing at #5 on the Sirius-XM Bluegrass Junction Top 40 Most-Played Album charts this month.  “They are an exceptionally talented bunch of guys with a vision for great bluegrass making STRANGE NEW WORLD one of the best CDs I’ve heard all year,” said Kyle Cantrell, Sirius-XM Radio who recently featured the band on his popular Track by Track radio show.

Another track from the album, “Living Water” has also been receiving tremendous airplay from numerous radio stations including appearing on the WBTX Radio’s Top 20 Playlist this month.  “Living Water” is an original song by Blue Moon Rising member, Chris West.  It was also recorded by his good friends and label mates, Brand New Strings and appears on their “NO STRINGS ATTACHED” album also released this year.
