Crandall Creek proudly announces that their new single, “Refrigerator Homemade Picture Show,” is available for streaming and purchasing at all major outlets. The thoughtful new song features special guests Shannon Slaughter on lead vocals; Kathy Wigman Lesnock and Carly Greer on harmony vocals; Darrin Vincent on bass; Andy Leftwich on guitar, mandolin, and fiddle; Jessie Baker on banjo; and Josh Swift on Dobro.

“Refrigerator Homemade Picture Show’ is a kind of song that relates to everyone,” said Tim Raybon. “You can picture in your mind either your children or someone else’s kids putting their artwork from home or school on the refrigerator. It is fantastic! I guarantee you will love this song,” he said.

The song was written by Crandall Creek members Jerry Andrews and Kathy Wigman Lesnock, after refrigerator pictures triggered Jerry’s imagination. He explains, “the song came to me one day as a cascade of my grandkid’s artwork peeled off the refrigerator door. As I picked it up, it made me think of all the creativity kids have. Sometimes I wouldn’t know what the picture in the drawing was, but I applauded just the same.”

“Jerry and Kathy have crafted a song that will touch anyone’s heart. The sight of children’s or grandchildren’s art on the refrigerator door is timeless,” said Shannon Slaughter.

Crandall Creek is now on tour with Jerry Andrews on rhythm guitar and vocals; Kathy Wigman Lesnock on lead and harmony vocals; Dustin Terpenning on banjo and mandolin; and Carly Greer on lead and harmony vocals.

“Refrigerator Homemade Picture Show” is also available to radio programmers at AirPlay Direct or by request to Hope River Entertainment.

More on Crandall Creek

In addition to their busy tour, the West Virginia-based band is known for its many charitable endeavors, believing the community that supports them deserves support in return. Band members give part of what they earn to the Bluegrass Music Endeavors Foundation. In 2021 and 2022, the foundation partnered with the International Bluegrass Music Association to create the Crandall Creek Scholarship. The $1,000 awards each year were given to college students who demonstrated an interest and involvement in any aspect of bluegrass music, including but not limited to performance.

The band also founded the Steve Gulley Memorial Scholarship, which honors the late singer-songwriter who passed away from cancer in 2020. The $5,000 scholarship, administered through Crandall Creek’s non-profit foundation, is awarded to a college student who best represents the future of bluegrass music. Scholarship applications may be downloaded at CrandallCreek.com or by email to [email protected]. The deadline to apply is May 15, 2023. The winner will be announced during Crandall Creek’s show on August 8, 2023, at the world-famous Station Inn in Nashville, Tenn.
