Moundsville, WV (June 23, 2023) – Copper Mountain Records proudly announces today’s new single, “Love the Thrill” by Crandall Creek. Co-writers Kathy Wigman Lesnock, Jerry Andrews, Jamie Peck, and Carly Greer perfectly capture how to love the thrill of life. Carly provides her impressive lead vocals on the track with harmonies by Jerry and Kathy. They are joined by Andy Leftwich, guitar, mandolin, and fiddle; Darrin Vincent, upright bass; Mike Scott, banjo; and Josh Swift, Dobro.
“We are so thrilled to have Carly’s energy, spunk, and distinctive voice that she brings to the band and to bluegrass music,” said band leader and guitarist Jerry Andrews. Carly recorded her first album at 14 in Nashville. Last year, she developed a new love and appreciation for bluegrass music after being introduced to the genre by Jamie Peck, a Wheeling music producer. That, in turn, led Carly on a brand-new journey with Crandall Creek.
“Love the Thrill’ is one kickin’ tune! People just jump up out of the audience and dance when we play it. It’s one of our favorite songs to perform live. Also, it was fun song to collaborate on with Kathy, Carly, and Jamie,” Andrews added.
Crandall Creek’s previous single, “Refrigerator Homemade Picture Show,” features special guests Shannon Slaughter on lead vocals; Kathy Wigman Lesnock and Carly Greer on harmony vocals; Darrin Vincent on bass; Andy Leftwich on guitar, mandolin, and fiddle; Jessie Baker on banjo; and Josh Swift on Dobro. The heartwarming tune appeared on the Bluegrass Today Top 20 Songs chart and on AirPlay Direct’s Top 50 APD Bluegrass / Folk Singles Chart. In addition, the band’s previously released single, “Molly Burns,” continues to appear on the Cashbox Magazine’s Top 100 Bluegrass Songs Chart.
Radio programmers can download the song at AirPlay Direct or by request to Hope River Entertainment.
