Moundsville, WV (October 6, 2023) – Copper Mountain Records is proud to announce the highly anticipated new single and music video, “Just 18,” by Crandall Creek. Lead vocalist Carly Greer, with her impressive lead vocals, takes us on a heartfelt journey – “She left home at just 18, with 100 bucks and a youthful dream.”

Tim Raybon said, “As a writer, you are always looking for a way to say something that has been said a thousand times that you find a way to say it a little differently. That’s how I feel about ‘Just 18.’ This is a fantastic song that my wife and I love. It pulls at your heartstrings, and you can definitely identify if you’ve ever had a child leave home before you thought they were ready or simply did not want them to leave. This song should be a hit for a very long time.”

Crandall Creek’s band leader and guitarist Jerry Andrews penned the tune, saying, “Just 18 came to me as I sat down to review a song for a show. I thought about all the people doing shows across the country and those packing it all up and heading for Nashville. The song was finished in 30 minutes. It just fell out of my guitar.”

Andrews and fellow band member Kathy Wigman Lesnock provide harmony vocals on the track, along with Dustin Terpenning on banjo. Guest musicians include Darrin Vincent on bass and Andy Leftwich on mandolin and produced by Jamie Peck.

The “Just 18” music video was filmed by Bruce Winges at the home of Kathy Wigman Lesnock and her husband, Doug Lesnock, in West Finley, Pennsylvania, and produced by Hope River Entertainment.

Crandall Creek’s recent shows have been extremely well received with their high-energy performances and instrumental talents including those of Christian James on lead guitar and vocals and Sav Nelson on upright bass.

On Saturday, October 7, 2023, Crandall Creek opens for Rhonda Vincent & The Rage at the sold-out Song of the Mountains show at the Lincoln Theatre in Marion, Virginia.

Crandall Creek has achieved chart success with their recent single, “Love the Thrill,” penned by the band. The fun song is currently #15 on the Bluegrass Today Monthly Top 20 for October 2023 and continues to chart the Bluegrass Today Weekly Top 20.
