Penned by the two and produced by Jared, the song “Jesus Is The Reason For The Season” features the breathtaking vocals of Morgan Easter Smith and two-time Grammy-Winning Dobroist Rob Ickes. “With three young kids at home it’s easy to get caught up in the holiday rush. I wanted to create a heartfelt, meaningful song to remind us all of the real reason behind the season. Last year, Jared produced two Rick Lang single releases, “Bluegrass Holiday” and “I Thank You Lord,” both receiving critical acclaim. Rick and Jared plan to continue to write, record, and release new music together as an ongoing collaboration.
Jared Easter grew up in a musical family and showcased his talents performing with the award-winning gospel group the Easter Brothers and the multiple Grammy-nominated group Jeff & Shari Easter. Jared has been nominated for numerous awards for his producing and musicianship including nominations for the GMA Dove Awards. Jared co-founded Buy Demo Tracks and now focuses on songwriting, recording, and producing.
Grammy-nominated songwriter Rick Lang has had over 150 of his songs recorded by various artists and has released seven albums of his own. His gospel release Gonna Sing Gonna Shout was honored with the International Bluegrass Music Association (IBMA) Gospel Recording of The Year Award in 2019. Rick also received a GMA Dove Award Nomination for Look To The Light, is a four-time nominee for the coveted IBMA Songwriter of the Year Award, and is a three-time nominee for the IBMA Mentor of the Year Award.
