“I heard some lines of this song from David Coriell, who is an amazing writer from Ohio, and he mentioned it was not finished and asked if I was interested in helping him finish it,” said Slaughter. “Of course, the song grabbed me with the first line of the chorus because I, like many, have experienced leaving on a melody. I really loved the bridge idea we came up with about getting out of our own head for a while and letting our instrument take us on a journey, and of course all of the guys played and sang awesome!”
