Grammy award-winning Larry Cordle has released a new single, “Old Richmond Road,” that he co-wrote with his dear friend Amanda Martin. “I wrote it for my wife, Wanda, who is from Clay’s Ferry, Kentucky, which is on ‘Old Richmond Road’. This song is very close to my heart. All the places mentioned in the song are absolutely real,” said Cordle, inviting you to share in this personal connection.
Cordle provides his trademark lead and baritone vocals. He is joined by Mike Anglin on bass, Jenee Fleenor on fiddle, Clay Hess on guitar, Steve Thomas on mandolin, Mike Rogers on percussion, and tenor vocal.
Cordle’s latest singles include hits like “How Could I Love Her So Much,” November Wind,” “East Kentucky Blues,” and the unconventional comedy song “The Abduction of Antonio Villas-Boas.” His most recent albums, including Where the Trees Know My Name, Tales From East Kentucky, and the 2018 Grammy-nominated Best Roots Gospel Album, Give Me Jesus, have all been met with great success. Now, he’s back with a new single, “Old Richmond Road,” ready to captivate his audience once again.
Cordle recently expanded his label, adding Nashville-based band Green River Revue, and launched their first single on Mighty Cord Records, “Green River Ferryboat.”
