Rural Rhythm Country is pleased to announce the CD Release Party for the new COUNTRY ALBUM, “MY WILD HEART” by country music entertainer and songwriter, MASON DOUGLAS. The party will take place at The Listening Room located at 209 10th Avenue South, Suite 200, Nashville, TN at 6:00 pm.

This incredible new country album features 11 original songs by Mason Douglas including the first single release “Anything Can Happen” that has been serviced to radio via Play MPE, DMDS and Airplay Direct.  Mason was recently featured in the Country Music Association’s CMA Close-Up Magazine’s Debut Spotlight and received rave reviews for this first national release.

Robert K. Oermann, Music Row recently wrote, “Who is Mason Douglas, and where has he been all my life? I don’t know when I have heard a more accomplished debut single. And he wrote it all by himself. Give that man a DisCovery Award.” —Wow. This guy’s wedding song takes off like a rocket ship and blazes across your brain with its jets firing wide open. Power and drive to spare. The CD is titled My Wild Heart, and you can bet I’ll be playing the rest of it.

“MY WILD HEART” encompasses a wide variety of songs including true fan favorite party songs from his powerful live performances, “Big Bad Wolf”, “Trabajo Manana (Fiesta Today)”,  “Getting’ Warmed Up”, “For the Girls”, to his mesmerizing and beautiful love songs like “Hesitate”, “People Fall In Love”, “Speak to Me”, and the heartfelt uplifting “That’s a Life” to name a few.  “MY WILD HEART” is now available for purchase now via iTunes, and many more major outlets.

Lonesome River Band’s New Album

Rural Rhythm Records is very proud to announce today’s new release, “STILL LEARNING” by the Lonesome River Band.  This super group is lead by the award-winning banjoist Sammy Shelor who is joined by: Brandon Rickman (guitar, lead vocals), Andy Ball (mandolin, lead vocals), Mike Hartgrove (fiddle) and Mike Anglin (bass, vocals).  Rickman explains the meaning behind his original song, “I’m Still Learning” that was of course the inspiration for the title.  “We all thought that this song really describes LRB today.  Learning something new every day and seeing things a whole new way has been the creative path and our attitude ever since the five of us got together.”

The Lonesome River Band was back on top with their last album, “NO TURNING BACK” reaching #1 on numerous charts including staying #1 on the Bluegrass Unlimited Top 15 Album Chart for 3 months in a row.  The album included two chart singles, “Them Blues,” (the #1 song for 2 months in a row), plus the hit, “Like a Train Needs a Track.  “STILL LEARNING” certainly picks up where “NO TURNING BACK” left off.  The first single, “Record Time Machine,” written by Marvin E. Clark (who also co-wrote “Like a Train Needs a Track”) has received rave reviews from key radio hosts including:

“Man, I love it!! It’s a HIT!!” – Kyle Cantrell, Sirius-XM Radio “Bluegrass Junction”

“FABULOUS! That’s a winner!!” – Terry Herd, Bluegrass Radio Network “Into the Blue”

“STILL LEARNING” is available at all fine outlets including iTunes, Amazon, and many more.

Next year the Lonesome River Band will celebrate their 30th Anniversary and these band members are certainly carrying on tradition with “STILL LEARNING.”  Their new single and album will surely dominate the bluegrass charts again and we are still learning how high the ceiling is for this top group.

The Lonesome River Band can also be heard on the upcoming new album, “GRAVES MOUNTAIN – LIVE” recorded live last month at the Graves Mountain Festival of Music in Syria, Virginia celebrating Rural Rhythm Records 55th Anniversary.

#1 Album, #1 single for Lonesome River Band

Lonesome River Band
Lonesome River Band

Wow – well deserved recognition for the Lonesome River Band.  They have the #1 ALBUM (“NO TURNING BACK“) on  July’s Bluegrass Unlimited Magazine (BU) Top 15 album chart marking the third consecutive month holding the #1 spot!  The band is also celebrating the #1 SINGLE, “Them Blues” on the July Bluegrass Unlimited Magazine  Top 30 Singles Chart.  Yet another single, Like a Train Needs a Trackclimbs again reaching #19 on the same chart.

We can’t agree more with The Bluegrass Special who recently said, “In its 25-year history of making memorable music the Lonesome River Band has arguably never been stronger than it is on NO TURNING BACK.  If this album doesn’t earn a place on a lot of year-end Best Of lists, something’s amiss, because few other albums in any genre boast finer singing, songwriting, playing or more conviction than this gem.”  We hope that this year brings lots of International Bluegrass Music Association (IBMA) Awards for this band!  We know we are voting for LRB!!

With all of this good news, there is more!  Next week Rural Rhythm Records will release the debut solo album by  Brandon Rickman titled YOUNG MAN, OLD SOUL” on June 30th.   The first single, “Always Have, Always Will is already receiving incredible feedback from radio, media and fans and is already a top song on our iTunes!

Many congrats to: Sammy Shelor , Brandon Rickman, Mike Hartgrove, Andy Ball and Mike Anglin!
